Landon Xavier concentrates his practice in private equity and complex corporate transactions. He has played a significant role in some of the largest leveraged buyouts and high profile private equity transactions consummated in the marketplace on behalf of some of the world's largest private equity firms and private equity consortiums. He also has worked with leading corporations in major acquisitions, joint ventures, and corporate restructurings.
Prior to joining ICX, Geoffrey was a partner at Radcliff & Mason and an associate at Jasper, Hale & Moore. He authored the article "Private Equity Club: Seller Beware? Latest Developments and Practice Tips," which appeared in the March-April 2007 edition of Deal Lawyers.
Landon regularly advises special servicers and other clients with respect to non-performing real estate debt instruments and structured products. He has experience in working out highly structured commercial real estate financings in the credit crisis. He has moderated CREFC panels on work-outs and foreclosures of commercial mortgage loans in CMBS transactions and CRE CDO transactions.
Selected by The American Lawyer as a "Dealmaker of the Year" in 2003, Landon was also listed in The Best Lawyers in America. He received his B.A., magna cum laude, from Harvard University in 1984 and his J.D., cum laude, from Harvard University in 1988. Prior to attending law school he was employed as an economic analyst with the Brookings Institution.
He is admitted to practice in the State of New York and is a member of the New York State Bar Association and the American Bar Association.
